Adding depth and complexity to a cocktail is easy and simple when you make this one-serving rum punch that uses both light and dark rum. From there, orange juice brightens everything, lime cuts through the sugars and tropical sweetness, and the grapefruit juice lends itself to creating a refreshingly tart profile.
On the whole, rum mixes well in a variety of combinations, but it is especially suited to a variety of fruit juices.
Rum is an alcoholic beverage that is fermented and distilled from sugar cane juice or molasses, and has a long history of production in tropical regions all over the world. As a result, it is a natural match for other ingredients that grow in the same climates, such as lemons and limes, oranges, mangoes, pineapples, ginger, and various spices like cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg, which are all native to the same region.
